NaNoWriMo is an annual (November) novel writing project that brings together professional and amateur writers right there on their own computers! Thrill to writing your very own novel ... in a thirty-day period! There are also local warm-up events that start in September and October and "write-ins" for writers all through November.
Writers is the largest writers organization in Oregon. It sponsors an active
program of monthly meetings, special seminars, workshops, and conferences at
various locations. The Mid-Valley Chapter meets in Eugene monthly at Tsunami Books(check their events calendar).
Wordcraftersin Eugene hold various events and gatherings for writers, including a yearly
conference (with a specific focus, check the website for this year’s theme).
